Minitab Pty Offers Free Online Statistical Training on Reliability on December 8
Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) December 01, 2011
Creating a reliable product is a top concern of manufacturers, and learning the statistical analysis behind determining a product’s reliability and lifetime characteristics is essential.
To help people learn and apply these statistical concepts, Minitab Pty, the Australian office of the world’s leading provider of software for quality improvement and statistics education, is offering a free online training session to introduce the basics of reliability analysis.
The Introduction to Reliability session will cover Minitab’s powerful reliability tools, including the Distribution ID Plot, Distribution Overview Plot, and Parametric Distribution Analysis. Participants will learn how to use these tools to compare a product prototype with a current version already in the market.
The hour-long webinar will be offered on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. AEDT (GMT +11:00), and is designed to give participants the chance to preview Minitab’s instructor-led training without leaving their offices. Registration is available at http://www.minitab.com/en-AU/training/web-events/. Space is limited.
Minitab offers public training courses, as well as on-site training at locations throughout the world, delivered by expert statisticians with years of experience implementing quality improvement projects.
“My goal is to make training courses practical and relevant for professionals from all types of businesses,” says Ming Dong, Minitab Pty technical training specialist, who will teach the course. “I want training participants to leave with a ‘statistical toolkit’ they can take back to their jobs and use immediately.”
Ming earned his master’s degree in applied statistics and computer science, and has gained firsthand experience resolving the challenges Minitab users face when trying to choose the right statistical methods to analyze their data.
