Gatwick-based International Logistics Group (ILG) has appointed Exact Abacus to upgrade their back office and customer service systems with the leading-edge 3ex.net software platform. Replacing the incumbent Unix-based system, 3ex.net will provide scalability, superior functionality and a first class experience for customers across the UK.
ILG is one of the UK’s largest integrated fulfilment and courier providers, working with clients including: Trend, Denon, Bupa, Sunseekers, Dun & Bradstreet and Rolls-Royce. The 3ex.net platform will offer customers far more control over their stock, orders and international dispatches, with real-time ‘track and trace’ reporting through the ILG website. Integrated 3ex.net warehouse management systems modules handling multiple warehouses, order processing, job management and finance will deliver significant cost efficiencies and improved profitability within the business. Subsequent project phases are planned to accelerate return on investment in 3ex.net technology. In 2012 the 3ex.net mobile stock control software package will be introduced on handheld devices for ILG drivers to scan parcels on receipt and delivery to the depot, increasing throughput by over 40%.
